Amazin Grazin Cheese Snacks Review

That midday slump can be an absolute killer and, when you are trying to reduce your sugar and crisp intake, it is difficult to find something quick to satiate that hunger. I have been reaching for cheese and Babybels really are my friend when I am in the office. They are easy to chuck in my bag and don’t melt all over everything. I have since been introduced to Amazin Grazin Cheese Snacks and they add a little something extra to my cheesy midday break.

Amazin Grazin are made by Norseland, who are the name behind household cheese brands like Applewood, Jarlsberg and Mexicana, amongst many others. The Amazin Grazin cheese bars are individually wrapped pieces of cheese mixed with fruit and seeds, that are designed to make snacking easier and more accessible on the go.

Available exclusively to Sainsburys, there are three flavour combinations to choose from – Smoky Chipotle, Sticky Date and Honey or Berry and Cherry. One spicy, one sweet and one fruity. The different thing about these cheese snacks is the addition of seeds to add a bit of texture to balance out for the cheese hit that other cheese snacks provide.

The smoky chipotle blends mild cheddar with smoky chipotle, sweet chilli jam, sunflower and pumpkin seeds for a delicate balance of cheese and smoky with a gentle heat from the chilli. The milder cheese also helps to let the other flavours come through  well. My favourite of the three bars is the date and honey which blends mild cheddar with orange blossom honey, sticky chopped dates, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. I thought it would be too sweet but the honey and date is a delicate flavour that adds to the cheese rather than overpowers it. The other option is a more traditional blend of flavours with mild cheese, blueberries, cranberries, cherries, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. It would be perfect to be sliced up alongside a decent cheese board for something a little different.

I’ve really enjoyed trying these cheese bars and I’ll definitely be adding them to my shopping list. They fill a whole when I start to feel peckish and are super easy to take with me rather than hitting the biscuit tin.

Amazin Grazin are available to buy from most Sainsburys stores and are priced at £2.75 for a pack of four.
