Whilst I am on the bad beauty lover rant I thought I would tell you about another product I have only just bought despite its cult like status. Earlier in the week I brought you Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, today I bring you Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. This product has been all over my Twitter and Bloglovin feed for as long as I can remember so I can’t quite believe that I haven’t bought it until now.
The description is a little grand for what is, in reality, a highlighter. I very nearly just wrote ‘it is just a highlighter’ but that really does do it an injustice.
Housed in a simple black compact with a metal lid and mirror enclosed, the Shimmering Skin Perfector is soft in texture, almost creamy in consistency despite its powder form and so pigmented you need the tiniest amount to highlight your cheekbones to the hilt. Described as being soft white gold with pinky peach undertones I am yet to find a skin tone this wouldn’t work with. My tanned and untanned skin both highlights beautifully with this product and I love that I can start with a really small amount and then build it up.
There is very little fallout when applying so you won’t be a sparkly mess and the shade almost changes colour in different lights making a pearlised look to the cheeks. I find a fan brush is the best way to control this product and allows me to lightly apply it to the areas I want without applying too much. If you want the illusion of chiselled cheekbones you need this product in your life.
