There are lots of things I am missing in lockdown but brunch with my friends is near the top of the list. I miss getting into the City early doors for a glass of fizz, with far too much makeup on for a morning at the weekend and settling in for a few hours of gossip and food. Thankfully The Koffee Pot have come to our rescue and created the ultimate brunch in a box, it is just missing the gossip.
The Koffee Pot usually serve a tasty breakfast from their café in the Northern Quarter. They have been recommended to me on several occasions and have been on my hit list for a long time to visit, I just never managed to get there ahead of the lockdown.
For £20, they deliver to your door a box of delights to create the ultimate Full English at home. Bacon, sausage, black and white pudding, lorne sausage, potato cakes, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, bread and butter. They really have thought of everything and the beauty of having it all in a box this way is you can pick and choose what to cook up and put on your plate. I don’t like tomatoes or mushrooms so can leave those out without the taste tainting everything else on my plate. Yes that is a thing. They even supply the orange juice for your mimosas.
Your items arrived lovingly packed, even the eggs are sat in mock straw! It is excellent quality and the box for 2 lasted my current family of 3 for 2 breakfasts. Everything is extra fresh and lasted so much longer than other items I’ve bought from the supermarket recently.
They include a quiz for you to complete as a family over your brunch, which is a nice touch and would be a cute idea if you decide to Zoom your brunch with friends who are not in your household.
Once we are allowed to dine out again, The Koffee Pot will be one of the first breakfast places I visit but until then, I’ll keep ordering their breakfast boxes and keeping the household happy!
You can order via The Koffee Pot website. Orders need to be placed before 3pm on Thursday and will be delivered the following day. They deliver to the whole of Greater Manchester and you can also order a DIY burger or pancake box, for the sweet toothed members of your household. That’ll be next week then.
