Comfy Underwear To Travel In

Let’s talk knickers. It’s not something I talk about on here normally but, doing the amount of travel that I do, I think it is really important to get some decent and comfy underwear for long journeys. I’ve made the mistake of wearing the wrong underwear a few times and there is nothing as frustrating as fidgeting on a long haul flight because you are uncomfortable.

I picked up some bits from Tutti Rouge, who only stock underwear for curvy women. Buying underwear for a curvier figure can be so difficult as the majority of websites only show the smaller models wearing the items. Nothing ever looks the same when I get it on and I love that Tutti Rouge shows their styles in women bigger in size.

I would normally recommend no wiring for travel, but this EZ-T Bra is super soft, it almost feels like it has no wiring it is that soft. The straps are slightly wider than regular t shirt bras, which means it sits a lot nicer on your shoulders. The lace around the side and on the matching knickers is also really soft and feels like it moulds to your shape. The crossover detail that sits in between the bust allows the bra to fit to the natural shape of your bust but gives an added oomph with the light padding. Despite the ridiculous price of this set (the bra is a steal at £20), they have really thought about the detail. How cute are the heart fasteners?

My next pic has no wiring so there is nothing to dig in when sitting for long periods of time. Usually I find bralettes offer no support at all and, whilst I would absolutely wear one, it isn’t something I would normally leave the house in. This gorgeous burgundy bralette has a mesh layer with thick straps and then a lacy layer underneath, with separate thinner straps. The two layers give extra support without being too restrictive. Something else that gives added support is the adjustable straps. My other bralettes don’t have straps at the back at all and are more like crop tops, so this allows you to adjust tighter or looser, depending on how comfortable you feel once it is on. Once again, you have the cute heart adjustable fasteners that give the Tutti Rouge range a lovely unique touch that you don’t normally get on something at this price range. The knickers that go with the bralette have a thick elastic band, which is much more comfortable than it sounds and the thong style is thicker than others I’ve tried meaning it sits much neater against your body.

I’m definitely going to treat myself to the black version of the Esme Bralette and the lightweight style of it means, if I am not wearing it to travel in, it will slide into my case and take up no space at all.

The Tutti Rouge EZ-T Bra is priced at £20 with the matching knickers retailing at £10.
The Esme Bralette is priced at £15 with the matching knickers retailing at £10.

Looks fabulous XX I hate wired bras on holiday. Something about the heat just makes me uncomfortable. I think I need to try some bralettes if they’re ok for big boobs – upgrade my full holiday crop tops!
