I can’t believe it, Phat Cupcake is a massive 1 year old today! Happy Birthday to us! It has been a busy and eventful year with some twists along the way but I am really looking forward to the next 12 months. And what better way to celebrate than with cake! The fabulous Baker Days sent me cake to review.
The idea behind Baker Days is simple yet effective. They can send cake to anyone in the UK on your behalf! Their range varies in size from a letterbox cake (3-4 portions) right up to a large party cake (40-55 portions) meaning this is not only great if you can’t see someone for a special occasion but also if you have a party to cater for and can’t get out to buy or make your own cake.
As if this isn’t perfect enough, there are hundreds of designs to choose from or you can even personalise the cake with a photo or image of your choosing. With it being Phat Cupcake’s birthday it seemed wrong not to go for a personalised logo option.
Isn’t it pretty? I almost didn’t want to cut into it, almost being the important word because the smell that hit me the second I opened the beautiful presentation tin was too much to resist. The cake itself is moist with a lovely ginger kick. The icing, whilst thick, was beautifully soft and melted in the mouth.
As if the lovely presentation tin isn’t enough, the cake also came with a little card, party blower and some candles. Baker Days really have thought of everything! The best bit? For this letterbox cake you don’t even need to be in to accept delivery, it is the perfect size to pop through the letterbox and brighten someone’s day. And from just £14.99 including next day delivery, could you ask for more? Perfect for those ‘just because’ moments… now would it be wrong to just order myself one every few weeks…
