I don’t know about yours but my Dad is one of the hardest people in the world to buy for. When I ask him what he might like I usually get the response ‘oh I don’t know, nothing’. One of these days I am going to do nothing just to see what his response is! Typically and as always, I am on the last minute this year which makes things that much harder. Here are a few ideas that might help if you are in the same boat as me.
Howick Limehouse Linen Shirt – £49
The weather has been significantly warmer over the last few weeks yet I know a lot of men prefer a long sleeved shirt then to roll them up if they get too hot. I think a linen shirt is the perfect casual item for most men’s summer wardrobes and the stone colour of this one from House of Fraser is a bit different to the white version you usually see.
I was first introduced to these grooming boxes at an I Want One Of Those event a few weeks ago and was impressed that there is something similar to a beauty subscription box for men. They are less fussy than women’s boxes. There is no subscription so you just go on the website and have a look at what is included that month. If you like the look of it you pay your £25 and £80 worth of grooming products will pop through your letterbox. This month has some excellent items including Nuxe shower gel and Ren Centifolia gentle exfoliating cleanser which are worth more than the £25 alone. I love the idea of giving your Dad a huge box full of stuff for him to try. If he isn’t into grooming products there is also a mystery gift box from I Want One Of Those which, at £29.99 is worth at least £50 and contains seven mystery items. I love a present that is a surprise to both the giver and the recipient!
Meal Out
As I said earlier I struggle every year with what to buy my Dad and am forever buying things for the sake of it which is a real waste of money. I have decided to do something different this year and take him to one of the restaurants he has shown the most interest in following my reviews. He is my blog’s biggest fan and always gives me constructive feedback on my posts. He really liked the look of Fazenda so this year I’ll be taking him for a slap up meal of all the meat he can eat and a couple of beers. For me memories last longer than material things and I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my Dad.
