I’m always on the lookout for a new beauty salon. I’ve tried a few different ones but always end up back at the one local to my Mum which is All About Eve in Hazel Grove. They know me, they know how I like my nails, my waxing. Problem is I’m now living in the city centre so Hazel Grove can be such a nightmare to get to.
I was really excited to be invited to the launch of Lush Nails and Beauty salon in Romiley. Once again it is in my home town of Stockport but Romiley is that bit easier to get to than Hazel Grove, I don’t have to fight the A6 to get there for a start!
I won’t go on about the launch itself too much because that doesn’t really tell you anything about the salon itself but I couldn’t resist showing you these cupcakes, aren’t they gorgeous? They tasted just as good.
Lush Nails and Beauty is on the main road through Romiley so is really easy to find. They also have a small car park at the back which is handy although it is worth ringing when you are nearby to see if there is space as it is a nightmare to get out of when full! Unlike many salons in the Stockport area (trust me I know) they open late 3 nights a week and also open on alternate Mondays. Perfect for those of us who work full time and just need that pick me up at the end of a long day.
The salon is light, bright and welcoming with the prettiest glitter feature wall. The treatment rooms are clean and fresh whilst the staff are warm and welcoming. They use bio sculpture here to do gel nails and I watched these ones being done. The customer (who’s toes you can see above!) has them done here regularly and said they really do last, much longer than shellac nails she has had done before.
I’m blessed with pretty strong nails and long nail beds so just went for a file and French polish. They were filed into the perfect shape for me with a slightly square tip before being painted in record time. I’ve had a French polish at numerous salons and some can get this so wrong, not here! This costs £14 so a perfect pick me up treat.
I also had my eyebrows shaped and tinted. I always thought I had dark eyebrows but lots of people at work the next day commented on them and how good they looked. Unfortunately my photographs are a little fuzzy so I can’t show you but I’d recommend getting them done and will certainly return for this service. Tinting is £5 and shaping is £9. The latter I feel is an absolute bargain to get the perfect shape, something I am rubbish at.
There’s lots of products available to buy at the salon too including these glitter lips which genuinely look like you have just kissed a pot of loose glitter. I didn’t have mine done but saw lots of amazing effects especially from the darker glitter shades, a great idea for the festive parties that are coming up.
Last but not least there was help on hand in the shape of Ed’s Hair and Beauty in Salford who were doing hair styling for the event. This service isn’t available at Lush but they kindly blow waved my hair so beautifully I wished I had somewhere to go afterwards! I’ll definitely be paying them a visit next time I need my hair styling for a special occasion.
Huge thanks to Ledigo PR for organising, to Lush for their fabulous treatments and hospitality as well as Eds for the cracking hair do. Now I need a special event to go to so I can go back…
This event included complimentary treatments to all guests who attended.

I was really thinking of going to this but for a public transport user like me it was that bit too far out of town. I’m really impressed with the quality and the prices, what a fantastic salon! Your blow wave looks so glamerous and not too over done like some I’ve had :0)
