Ring In The New Year With Baileys

My celebration of New Year has changed over the years, I used to be the first to get all dressed up and hit the town ready to ring in the New Year in a busy bar with my friends. As I have gotten older and bought my own home, I am more likely to be inviting friends over for a glass of champagne, nibbles and good conversation.

Baileys is the festive tipple of choice in a lot of households but mine more so as my Mum is an avid drinker throughout the year. It is always nice to mix it up for Christmas and New Year so I was pleased to see Baileys team up with London’s coolest baker, Lily Vanilli to design some Christmas hacks for new and innovative ways to use Baileys.

My particular favourite was espresso ice cubes so I got to work ready to provide my friends with a Baileys twist for this New Year’s Eve, Christmas hacks are totally still required for the 12 days after Christmas!

Espresso ice cubes couldn’t be easier to make. Brew some strong espresso and allow it to cool. Poor into ice cube trays and freeze. Pop them out into a glass and add Baileys.

Paw print ice cubes are a thing in my house but the funkier the better! As they melt they add a marbly swirl but also a coffee kick to your Baileys for a different flavour to the norm.

Here's to a @baileysofficial coffee infused Christmas thanks to @lily_vanilli_cake fabulous quick hacks! More on the blog later... #baileys #liqueur #christmas #christmasdrinks #christmas2016 #coffeerecipe #coffee

You can find loads of Christmas hacks at the Lily Vanilli website. I can’t wait to try the fudge, I just wish I had found the time before Christmas to I’ve it a go so I could wrap them up with pretty ribbon as presents for my friends and family. They’ll still appreciate some in January right?
