Train Like An Animal With Bear SCP And A Giveaway With Nutrition King

I’ve been meaning to write this post for months but it is really hard to write about a good friend and stay impartial. I now however have no excuse as I’ve encouraged him to work with other bloggers and they’ve all written great reviews which I’ll share with you later.

As most of you will know my training schedule is hit and miss to say the least, I used to train with Cheshire Personal Trainer at a private facility in Stockport and would regularly see a group of people training with one of the other trainers doing much different exercises. There were no weights, no weird equipment, just body weight and random games.

It turned out these classes were being run by a fitness coach called Darren Craven of Bear Strength, Conditioning and Performance and I was tempted to give them a try. I say tempted because I was actually really nervous. Weights are my thing, I know how to use them and how I can make them work to my advantage, my body on the other hand I’m not so sure of. I have zero upper body strength and my plank time is pitiful, would I be laughed out of the gym?

I gave the classes a go and had such a laugh! Monkeying around, duck walks, group challenges complete with forfeits and bear crawls are common place as is Darren encouraging you to work to your hardest and the rest of the group cheering you on for support.

Fast forward 12 months and the classes have moved to Proper Gym in Ancoats, I’ve made loads of other friends at the classes too. We’re in it together. Darren is a hard task master and these classes aren’t for the faint hearted by any stretch. Your limits will be tested, some girls have cried, others have been sick, but it pays off. I’ve seen incredible fat loss stories from just a couple of week’s worth of sessions and the classes are growing week on week with new people keen to see what the fuss is all about.

But don’t take my word for it, have a read of these blogs about Darren’s class and, if you think you have what it takes, you can enter my giveaway below to win 8 week’s worth of classes and a t shirt provided by Nutrition King.

Darren is now training a local MMA fighter for his first pro fight. He’s not teaching him how to grapple or punch, not this time, he’s teaching him primal animal flow movements. And I can guarantee it’ll be his toughest test yet but give him the edge over his component massively. Do you think you have what it takes to up your fitness game, try something new and have fun?
