Queue a witty Peter Kay style remark (“almond milk…. almond…..milk?!?”) from most of the women in my office before they demanded a try. At 48 calories and only 0.2 grams of saturated fat per 200ml it is a good healthy option with vitamins B2, B12, D and E added into the mix. I had it with porridge and sliced banana for my breakfast and it was really tasty. I usually have to add a teaspoon of sweetener to my porridge with normal milk but there was no need with this, it was sweet enough and surprisingly creamy for the calorie content. The only difference I found was that it needed longer in the microwave than normal milk. I like my porridge fairly thick and this stayed more watery than I usually prefer but what the hell, it is low fat and dairy free meaning I can stick to my food exclusion plan for longer. 🙂
Mondays will be weigh and measure day so join me for that and my plan for the week!

I didn’t realise it was so low in fat. I’ve always fancied trying it, so I think I’ll definitely have to give it a go now 🙂
Good luck for tomorrow! xx

Me neither until I looked at the carton… and it is tasty too! Official weigh in will probably be Thursday but I’ve not stuck to plan since before holiday so will definitely be a gain. Good starting point for this blog though 🙂 xx
