Following on from the Christmas special at All Star Lanes last month, they have a corker for January. How many times have you been to your favourite burger restaurant thinking it’s not that badly priced, then you add fries, consider a dessert, maybe a cocktail or two, before you know it you could have dined a la carte in a much more exclusive restaurant.

The Hound Dog is like a three course meal on one plate. To celebrate the birth of the King, the Hound Dog takes Elvis’s favourite peanut butter and creates a weird yet wonderful masterpiece. A pork frank is popped into a brioche bun atop a layer of smooth peanut butter then smothered with cranberry jelly and bacon crisps. The side of fries is included in the price of £12 as is the salted caramel brownie wedge. See what I mean? Starter, main and dessert on one plate! I warn you it is not for the faint hearted and if you don’t have a sweet tooth, it isn’t for you either. My huge sweet tooth loved the sweet cranberry and the crunchy bacon bits added a bit of bite to what could be a soft mess. The brownie was dense yet squishy in the middle, just the way I like them. It is sickly, sweet and looks incredibly overfacing, but I could not put it down. I polished off nearly every bite and enjoyed them too.
As if that isn’t enough you can also get 2 for 1 cocktails in their late night happy hour. Sunday through to Thursday from 9pm-11pm the cocktail list is your playground. I urge you to try their margaritas, straight up, salt rim. They’re amongst the best I have had in Manchester, I kid you not. And trust me, I think I’ve tried most of them.
You’ve got until the end of January to grab the Hound Dog before it sells out, get your skates on.
