Keeping Your Pets Safe Over The Festive Period With Vets Now

Christmas is no longer about me. I may be 34 years old but, as an only child, I have always been the centre of attention on Christmas Day until I finally gave my parents the grandchild they have been hoping for. Well, a grandchild of the furry kind that is. They love Ferguson already and we can’t wait to see how he reacts to all the presents and festivities of Christmas day.

Having a puppy during a time when regular vet services are reduced can be a scary experience especially if an emergency happens and your normal support facility isn’t there. Vets Now is like an emergency service for your pet! They have 54 out of hours clinics and 4 emergency and referral 24/7 hospitals with the latest hospital opening last week in Bury, Greater Manchester. You can find all the information you need on their Christmas website should you need their help and guidance should the worst happen.

Hopefully you won’t need to contact them and they are keen to help you keep your pets safe this Christmas with a host of tips on the common dangers that may result in an emergency trip to the vet.

Most people know that chocolate is toxic for dogs and they shouldn’t be allowed to eat it. But did you know onions also pose a danger and even in things like gravy and stuffing? How about macadamia nuts? Yep, they are bad too and can cause weakness, tremors and hyperthermia within 12 hours of digesting.

I really hope you don’t need to call Vets Now over the festive period but the peace of mind that they are there, 24/7, is more than worth it to keep out furry friends safe.

Now does anyone have any tips for keeping Ferguson off the sofa?
