New Coconut Creations With Buko And Cuppanut

We are constantly told how good coconut is for us. Coconut oil really is a saviour for me and I use it in so many different ways, from cooking to hair masks, face cleansing to moisturiser for dry patches. I have tried many a coconut water famed for their health properties it was only a matter of time before new products hit our shelves with that tropical island taste. Let me introduce you to two of them –

Buko Organics Coconut Jam – RRP £4.99

You may remember Buko Organics from a previous post as I have tried their coconut water before. I was really impressed by their ethical values and the donations they put back into the rainforests through Cuipo. They have extended their range to bring us coconut jam, which contains no refined sugars and is naturally sweet. Vegan friendly the jam is also low in cholesterol, gluten free and contains no preservatives. You can buy it in three flavours and I tried the Original and Sea Salt versions although I believe the Chocolate one is delicious! The taste isn’t really like jam, more a grainy spread that is very sweet with a hint of coconut at the end. It is great if you are craving something sweet and I really enjoy a small spoonful in my porridge of a morning if the weather is on the colder side. The consistency is thicker than jam and is more like nutella so it does that that bit longer to melt.

Cuppanut Coconut Infusion – RRP £4.50

Cuppanut Coconut Infusions were designed by X Factor star Gareth Gates who wanted to create a hot drink which contains no tea. Biodegradable tea bags are filled with coconut and then mixed with three different flavours – Coconut, Ginger and Turmeric or Cranberry.

When brewed they actually taste exactly like I expected, coconut water! There is no sweetness though and you get the raw coconut taste. I was really impressed and found these a great way to get more water into my diet.

I will continue on my coconutty quest, make sure you let me know of any new coconut findings you have.

Contains PR samples.
