Peace Of Mind For Furry Friends With Furbo

Having a dog AND a social life can be more stressful than it seems. Whilst my 2 year old border collie Ferguson is really good and rarely gets up to mischief (watch that change now I’ve written that!) but I do worry about leaving him alone for too long. Have you ever wondered what your pets get up to when you’re not home? Furbo have the answer!

Furbo is a dog camera system, not dissimilar to those CCTV systems you can get to watch your children in their bedrooms. You can watch your pets but through an app on your phone whilst also talking to your pet and throwing him or her treats! Doesn’t Ferguson look happy with his Furbo?

The Furbo machine itself is really stylish looking and my Dad recently asked if it was an air freshener. That’s exactly what it looks like meaning it doesn’t look ugly in the room you choose for it to live in. I keep ours in the living room as, when we are out of the house and Ferguson is home alone, he can usually be found asleep on the sofa. I thought he would spend his time staring out of the window or sniffing around in the kitchen near where his treats are kept. Oh, how wrong I was!

You can record a personal message to your pooch for when you want to send them treats, which is a really nice touch. After the message is played, the Furbo dispenses 2 or 3 small treats from the hole on the front of the machine with enough gusto, that they almost spray to the floor. It adds a great level of interaction as it means your pet has to then find them on the floor and use their brain more. Being a border collie, Ferguson is really intelligent so can regularly found either licking the hole the treats are dispensed from, or just stood staring at it!

The camera is really clear and has a night vision mode, as you can see above. The fish eye style lens really covers the whole room and there is also a facility to speak to your pet so they know you are thinking of them. The app allows you to take a screen shot of your camera or record video directly from Furbo so you can cherish the memories forever. I kind of wish Ferguson did more than just sleep or stare at the camera, I’ve seen some really funny videos on Twitter of other Furbo owners with some cheeky pups!

It isn’t a cheap piece of equipment at £249 but there is a sale on at the moment and you can save a further £50 by using my discount code PHATCUPCAKE50. That makes your Furbo just £149 which I think it well worth it for the piece of mind it provides. I can now sit at a bar and check in on him without constantly worrying about him and ruining my night.

When you order yours, please send me your cheeky pup videos! You can order using the Furbo website.

What a useful piece of kit! My friends recently started leaving their pupper at home for longer periods of time. I’ll point them towards this for some reassurance!
